ostensibly like you
but it's not great
over here. It's not
'copacetic' or 'hopeful'.
I'm hitting shoals while
you sail freely. This stretch
doesn't measure up.

all the voices in my head 
Dang. This one hit hard. I often try not to compare myself, but lately with my hip injury, I suddenly find myself feeling older…and behind…or maybe just not winning. It’s odd and I wonder what will change moving forward.
Well…. It will get worse and better. Take a look at the poem I post later today
On that day I allowed myself yet again to get upset at things totally beyond my control. It’s silly, but informative, so I’ll recount them: Google AI detailed a viewpoint (among several) along our route but inexplicably updated the response and removed the one I was heading for. Without that, I did my best but couldn’t find it. Then I planned to stop at a nice state park but a wildfire blanketed the area with smoke making it pointless. We checked into a hotel early and started drinking too early.
Forgot to confess that this made me treat my lovely wife in an inappropriate manner.
